Lets turn EECVC into the leading technical conference in the field of CV / ML in Eastern and Central Europe
Dear colleagues,
in 2018, we conduct EECVC 2018 for the third time and it seems to me that we are able to create a conference with particular values and a community of 400+ people from 10 countries who really love it (+ summer and the sea in Odessa: =)).
For 2019 I have more global ambitions to turn EECVC into the leading technical conference in the field of CV / ML in Eastern and Central Europe by expanding its format.
This would mean that the conference days would provide plenty of opportunities for the best minds in the world to share their experiences, “infect” their colleagues with ideas … and just drink a glass of beer on the beach in the company of interesting people.
For this, from 2019 I would like to stop being the only owner of EECVC and invite co-founders, by creating an EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.
I am looking for people, who could “drive” the conference to a new level together with me while preserving its unique characteristics (informality, participation only by the practitioners in CV / ML, minimum of bullshit and ”captains obvious”, free participation, participation by invitation, etc.).
To implement this idea, I will carefully select co-founders, from whom the long-term stable development (no transformation into a “conference for hiring and PR”) of EECVC will depend.
The main criteria:
– ability to “give” to the conference (contacts with international speakers, interesting guests, etc.) rather than “take” from it;
– long-term plans for personal development in the field of CV / ML;
– excellent business reputation in the community CV / ML;
– ability to dedicate to the organization of the conference about 100 hours per year and cover a part of organizational expenses.

I am sure that we will be able to create an excellent “institutional” conference, recognized in the global community. For this, we have all the necessary components – the best people and …. the warm sea: =)
P.S. EECVC 2018 will be held in our usual format with amazing speakers.
Everything described in this letter does not apply to the 2018 conference.
